Let’s take a calm, quiet look around our home, and take a peek at some of our favorite antique, cottage-core pieces. Saving my favorite for last!
Starting off with our candle sconces, we have 2 very unique pieces that bring joy to our home.
This first one is a pineapple candle sconce (with a remote control candle), and it’s a one-of-a-kind antique that was in its peak popularity in the 1950s all the way to the early 1990s. Most people still have these interesting pieces in their homes today! You can still find them on eBay, and in some antique stores.

This next one is similar, made from the same material, but has a completely different pattern—two birds. This pattern wasn’t as common as the pineapple, but it’s still a favorite in many homes, including ours!

Now lets move onto our wall art (embroidered pieces!)
Starting with this one, that we keep in our kitchen, is one of my personal faves. Pieces like these make your home feel more warm, cozy, and that overall welcome vibe. You can find very similar pieces like this one on eBay, Facebook marketplace, yard sales, and antique stores.

Next is this one, a fairly new piece for me. We just got it at the start of the year (2026), and have loved having it in our kitchen. Same thing with what I said about the piece above, you can find multiple embroidered works like this one at eBay, Facebook marketplace, yard sales, and most antique stores.

Now is this special piece we have in our downstairs hallway. As well as the other ones, you can find ones similar at eBay, Facebook marketplace, yard sales, and antique stores.

Now for our newest (in age) piece hanging above our back door, is one we got from Tractor Supply believe it or not. It looks absolutely amazing, and it looks vintage as well! I’m not sure if they still make this one, but if you’re VERY lucky you might find one on at a resale shop online, or at a thrift store.

Now for the last few pieces we own.
This is an old vintage highchair, of course it’s not usable anymore, but I love it sitting here in the corner of our living room.

Now for these antique wooden firkin buckets. They were used back then to store ingredients such as sugar, butter, and other dry goods. We just keep them on top of our cabinet we have in our living room. They bring a nice burst of coziness into the room, and make it feel less empty.

Next is this hall tree. We keep our coats on it in the winter/fall, and it makes are hallway more full and warm looking. This was actually my great, great, great, grandmother’s!

Now for this large antique basket and crocks (no not the shoes!) we keep in our fireplace. (We don’t use our fireplace obviously!) But this makes our living room look nice and alive.

Next is our mantle! My 2nd to last favorite piece. We put vintage glass hens on nests, with an old washboard, and old vintage books. I love it, and it gives an amazing spring touch to this room.

Last but so not least, is this photo that captures it all. My personal favorite.

That concludes it all for this post, and I’ve really enjoyed this one! Reach out to us if you have an idea for a blog post! -Katherine & Amelia
